Dairy Queen Miracle Day Raises Over $10,000 to Benefit Local Children

Dairy Queen Stores throughout central Virginia participated in their Annual Miracle Treat Day by serving up something sweet to benefit children. For every Blizzard sold on August 13th, Dairy Queen Stores donated a portion of those funds back to the local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

Computer Science Corporation 16th Annual Fall Golf Classic

On September 18, 2009, the golf carts were lined up for the Computer Science Corporation’s 16th Annual Fall Classic Golf Tournament at The Cardinal Golf Course in Fort Lee, Virginia. Hosted by the CSC Chester Office, this is the 10th year the tournament has donated the proceeds to Children’s Miracle Network Richmond, and this year’s event raised an outstanding $11,594.00.

In central Virginia, our devoted and committed community members set a goal of $120,000.00 selling cold glasses of Anthem LemonAid as well as virtual cups through the Online LemonAid Stand! We are so fortunate to announce that with almost 900 stands hosted, the Richmond community exceeded their goal raising over $137,000.00 for our member hospitals; VCU Children’s Medical Center and Children’s Hospital.

Children’s Miracle Network, Walmart and Sam’s Club present the 2009 “Champions Across America” program. A Champion, a child with a remarkable medical story, is chosen from each state to serve as an ambassador for the 17 million children who are treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year. Matthew McMillen, Virginia’s Champion who was once treated at VCU Children’s Medical Center and Children’s Hospital, will now travel to Florida and Washington, DC. With the help of Walmart, Sam’s Club and Children’s Miracle Network, Matthew has some unexpected surprises in store.

Event Raises More than $18,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Richmond!

On Saturday March 14, 2009, the students of Randolph-Macon College hosted the 8th Annual “Macon Miracles” to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Richmond. The event, running from 9am to 9pm, offered great activities from Wii Bowling to Dodgeball Tournaments and Human Foosball to a huge dance party presented by the Radio Disney AM1290 Road Crew.
