Registration Now Open for the 8th Annual Anthem LemonAid

July 17-19
Kids Helping Kids Fight Cancer

Summertime is right around the corner and so is Anthem LemonAid! Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia has once again teamed up with Children’s Miracle Network to organize this grassroots fundraising event to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against pediatric cancer.

This “kids helping kids” event is a great way to remember the excitement of setting up a neighborhood lemonade stand as a child and now share the experience with your children for a worthy cause. Children of all ages and businesses of all sizes throughout central Virginia will host hundreds of LemonAid stands the weekend of July 17-19 to support children fighting cancer.

Families, businesses and community groups are encouraged to register online and help raise funds for pediatric cancer treatment at Children’s Miracle Network’s member hospitals.  There are fun contests available for all participating groups too—participate in our Most Festive Stand Contest, Business Challenge and the first annual Day Care Challenge! To register to host a stand, please visit our website or call (804) 228-5929 or toll-free 888-784-9373. Each registered participant receives a FREE LemonAid kit complete with lemonade, cups, a pitcher, balloons, stickers and signage to help decorate the stand. We provide the supplies and you pick the spot—a neighborhood pool, a local business, a grocery store or your front yard.

In addition to hosting a traditional LemonAid stand, participants have the opportunity to raise money using an Online LemonAid Stand. Online LemonAid Stands will be active from registration until July 31. Online stands are a great opportunity to utilize your email address book and your Facebook and MySpace accounts for a great cause. Each registrant page is set up on a secure network, can be personalized with goal information, pictures, and messages, and can even honor a friend or family member who is battling or has battled cancer.

Last year, more than 750 LemonAid stands and 100 Online LemonAid Stands raised over $110,000. In our 8th year and with your support, we will continue to raise funds one cup of LemonAid at a time. Please consider joining our effort to “put the squeeze” on pediatric cancer.

Buy a Car, Help a Child!

It’s almost time to hit the road for a summer fun vacation! This June, Enterprise Car Sales and the Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions have partnered to create a new program, Cars For Kids. Your participation can not only ease your summer travels, but help make a difference in the lives of children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Richmond’s member hospitals too.

For every car purchased from Enterprise Car Sales and financed through a participating credit union, Enterprise Car Sales will donate $250 to Children’s Miracle Network Richmond. Click here to view a list of participating credit unions and then head over to Enterprise Car Sales located at 8605 Midlothian Turnpike, anytime from June 1st thru 30th, to purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle.

By purchasing your car during this special summer program, you can help raise money for VCU Children’s Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. Every year, these hospitals serve the community by treating more than 150,000 local children with medical services including Feeding Programs, Oncology and Hematology, Transitional Care, Dental Care, Cardiology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care and various therapies, among others.

Enterprise Car Sales and the Richmond Chapter of Credit Unions are proud sponsors of their local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, so this June, buy a car to help you and help them. Help the kids!
