Area Wal-Mart and Sam's Clubs Feel the Need for Speed!
January 2008
As if the summer did not fly by fast enough, September arrived with an event of its own speed. The Second Annual Wal-Mart Miracle Challenge was held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Richmond Raceway Complex. With the track laid, cars in line and checkered flag close at hand, the words “Ladies and Gentlemen…Start Your Engines” rang in the ears of race day spectators. This mini racecar challenge, complete with hair-spin turns, challenging bends and flat out speed, attracted local race fans from all over Richmond. Friends from area Wal-Mart stores, Sam’s Club locations and other local businesses including The Virginia State Police-HEAT, Comcast and The Martin Agency helped raise an amazing $49,734.91 for Children’s Miracle Network-Richmond.
